I suppose this is sort of an introduction, and something a bit different for me. In the Still of the Night has been a passion project for myself over the past few years now. It is a story I have written in tiny pieces here and there when I’ve managed to make time. The story ended up being In the Still of the Night, an erotic suspense thriller centered around political paranoia.
In the Still of the Night is set during the late 1980’s and follows Gene a freelance surveillance expert who takes jobs that lead him into intense and interesting situations. Inspired by spy thrillers of the 1970’s and 80’s such as Francis Ford Coppola’s The Conversation, and De Palma’s Blow Out, the stories is dark and digs into my fascination with loneliness and paranoia.
Gene, a freelance surveillance expert takes a job following Portia, a French supermodel who is the mistress to a powerful political figure. As Gene dives deeper into her life from spying on her from across the hall he soon learns that she may be in more danger than she knows.
